PPGL stands for Pre-Painted Galvalume Steel, commonly known as color-coated steel sheets or color-coated steel coils. It uses Galvalume steel (GL) as its substrate.
Simply put, PPGL = Substrate (Galvalume steel) + Chemical pretreatment layer + Primer + Topcoat.

Common Grades (by Standard System)
| Standard System | Common Grades | Description |
|---|
| China GB / Europe EN | DX51D+AZ | Most common commercial grade, suitable for general bending, forming and roll forming. |
| China GB / Europe EN | DX52D+AZ / DX53D+AZ | Drawing and deep-drawing grades, used for parts requiring complex forming. |
| China GB / Europe EN | S250GD+AZ / S350GD+AZ / S550GD+AZ | Structural grades with higher yield strength, used for load-bearing components. |
| Japan JIS | CGCC (Substrate equivalent to SGCC/SGLCC) | The most common color-coated steel grade in Japanese Industrial Standards. |
| Japan JIS | CGC340 / CGC440 / CGC570 | Numbers indicate tensile strength (MPa). CGC570 corresponds to high-strength materials such as G550. |
| USA ASTM | A755M CS-B | Commercial grade, widely used in building envelope systems. |
| USA ASTM | SS255 / SS275 / SS550 | Structural grades; numbers indicate minimum yield strength (MPa). |
